All of the healthcare options that are available at Washington State University Pullman are classified as Cougar Health Services. Cougar Health Services can be broken down into the following categories:
Crisis support: This may involve anyone in an emergency situation or if they pose an immediate threat to self or others. Pullman has their own 24-Hour Crisis Line, but also lists that National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, Crisis Text Line, WSU Employee Assistance Program, and A.W.A.R.E. Network phone numbers on their website.
Counseling and Psychological Services: Anyone seeking counseling and psychological services can choose from: walk-in visits, individual therapy, couples therapy, group therapy, workshops, biofeedback, and psychological assessments.
Health Promotion: C.H.S. provides community strategies and programs that support the overall health and well-being of the community. Health promotion deals with workshops for students, stress reduction and mental health education, violence prevention, and substance use.
Medical Clinic: The C.H.S. medical clinic is located on campus and works to keep the Palouse healthy. The medical clinic also includes a pharmacy and women’s health clinic.
Vision Clinic: The vision clinic provides support for all vision issue, includes a retail store, contact lenses, and accessories.
